Blog Post #3

Due to our busy schedules with sports and school, my partner and I have not been able to interview anyone new, but have plans on who and when we will do it. This upcoming weekend we plan to interview the mother of a son who is highly autistic to see how it has been for her and him throughout their lives. Our time conflicting has definitely been a setback. So because of that we decided to interview Kelsie's brother again, but this time on a happier subject. We talked about his life now and school and how well he is doing, which is all good things to hear, knowing that things have gotten better for him since he was younger.
Following the interview of the mother with the autistic child we plan on interviewing my mom and sister, due to the fact that my sister is lesbian. We also plan to interview anyone, willing, in the community that stands out, or is different from everyone else.+

Blog Post #2

My partner and I have made some great progress on our documentary. So far we have video taped one person and asked him numerous questions about his lifestyle. We video taped a 12 year old boy named Kyle who has aspergers. This experience was very emotional, watching him tell his story and how his disability has effected his life. Taping him helped me learn how alienated someone can feel.
Something IO learned about myself was that I don't really pay much attention to people like Kyle, not to say that I ignore or bully them but I have never stopped to think how they feel or how they live their lives as well as what struggles they undergo.
My partner and I have not had much time to interview more people, however we do have a list of people that we would like to document when we get the time. This weekend Kelsie and I are planning to complete another interview of someone with a son who has a severe case of autism.
With what I have learned I plan to show the community the exact struggles that people go through and how it hurts and effects them.
